So, what do statements of purpose and personal statements look like, anyway? Part of the trouble with writing a statement is that very few of us have any idea what kind of thing it is. We've all seen stories, poems, newspaper articles, and so forth - but who ever gets to read other people's statements of purpose? You do, that's who!
