Anywhere you attend school in America will have a post office near by (locate your nearest post office), but you should become familiar with domestic and international rates and services offered by the United States Postal Service (USPS).
A letter mailed to an address outside of North America may take a week or more to reach its destination, so it's a good idea to look into two-day or overnight service for packages that need to arrive quickly. However, the post office is not the only way to send packages overseas quickly, and in some cases it's not even the cheapest.
