Think About Transportation

Being able to get from home to school easily is very important. How long it takes, when you can travel, and seasonal weather all have to be considered in your decision about what form of transportation to use. And your choice of where to live may depend on your choice of transportation. Here are some questions to think about:

  • Does your town offer public transportation, such as buses, trains, or subways?
  • Are you close enough to campus that routinely riding a bike or walking is a reasonable option (weather permitting)?
  • Do you have room in your monthly budget to buy or lease a car? If so, would you have to learn how to drive? Do you have a license?
